The match counts include no-results, which do not contribute rating updates. The source is ESPNcricinfo’s annual match-results tables. Collection starts in 1877 for Tests, 1971 for ODIs, and 2005 for T20Is. Coverage is the set of matches listed there; it has not been independently certified as a census.
Using the files
Join by stable team and match IDs, and keep formats separate. A missing current rank indicates an inactive team. Month-end history excludes incomplete months; use the current-ratings file for the latest cutoff.
The files are regenerated together after successful checks. Earlier publications remain available through the repository’s publication history.
Charts can be downloaded as SVG or PNG from the Test, ODI, and T20I pages. See methods for the rating definitions.
